We are a small family oriented boutique RV Glamping Resort and as such strive to maintain a quiet escape for families and couples, we are NOT a Party spot

  • Do you accept Pets?
    Unfortunately, out of respect for local wildlife, other guests and our neighbours, we are unable to accommodate pets=
  • Smoking/ Vaping and Alcohol
    Smoking is NOT permitted in the units or on the RV sites as this can result in a $1000 cleaning fee. Please refrain from smoking in areas that are shared with other guests (dock, playground, beach and Rec room, etc.). Butts are to be placed in proper receptacles provided, not on the ground. Alcohol is to be consumed responsibly. Please be considerate of your neighbours throughout the resort
  • Is bedding included with the rental?
    Yes, we provide all sheets, pillows and blankets. We do NOT provide bath or beach towels.
  • Is the water safe to drink?
    NO, Boil Water Advisory in effect. Our water is supplied from the lake, must be boiled for 1 minute prior to consumption. Please bring bottled water for your own use or it maybe purchased at Keewatin Grocery
  • How do I get access instructions?
    Access instructions are sent automatically 5 days prior to check in. If you are less than 3 days out from arrival and you have not received your access instructions please check your spam folder or contact us
  • What type of coffee maker do you have?
    Our Glamping units have a single serve Keurig coffee machine, so all you need to bring is your coffee of choice and creamer if so desired
  • Why don’t you provide towels?
    Our local health department recommends that all towels are removed from the Glamping units between guests and laundered at a commercial laundry facility at specific temperatures. Due to the rural location and limited laundry facilities, we made a business decision to ask our guests to bring towels along to help keep costs down for our guests as well as preserve our on site septic system
  • What about Boats and water Toys
    We do not have a boat launch or offer boat rentals on site. If you are boating on Lake of the Woods for the day we have a small area to park your trailer overnight. There are several boat launches nearby We have several Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards, a canoe and a pedal boat for your use ( kids sizes as well.) If you have small children we recommend bringing life jackets specifically for them to ensure proper fit. Life jackets should be worn at all times when using supplied sup's, canoe, pedal boat or kayaks.
  • What are your check in and check out times
    Check-in is 4pm and Check-out is 10 am
  • Do I need to bring soaps?
    Your Glamping rental includes Dish soap and hand soap at each sink, We do NOT provide shampoo, conditioner, bath soaps, make up wipes or personal items. Septic safe toilet paper will be provided
  • Can I bring my own RV to the Resort?
    Spruce Lake Resort is a Stay-in-Place RV Resort, we provide all rental units and do not offer seasonal sites.
  • Are there cleaning supplies available?
    Our Glamping units have basic cleaning supplies and a broom available for guests to use during your stay if you need to clean up some sort of spill or mess.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    For direct bookings, we require a 30 day notice from the date of check in for a full refund. If you're within 30 days of check in we can cancel and try and rebook. If we are successful we would also provide a refund. If you booked on VRBO or Airbnb their cancellation policies supersede ours. Please log into your account and check your cancellation policy there. All booking cancellations from one of these third party platforms needs to be initiated with them on their platform. We can Not cancel an Airbnb or VRBO reservation without you first requesting cancellation on the respective portal.
  • Do you have a firepit?
    Yes, all of our Glamping units have fire pits. Keep your fire small and under control with grate over it. Also, never leave a fire unattended. If you have to leave for some reason or are done with the fire for the night please extinguish completely with water.
  • Do you supply Firewood?
    Firewood is available for purchase onsite and payable by E-Transfer for $10 per bag. We supply a combination of Ash and Birch logs to minimize smoke and sparks. Alternatively, Firewood may be purchased at LOTW Timber Works at Lot 1 McKenzie Portage Rd which you will pass on the way to the resort, they have a road side stand, McMunn and Yates or at most gas stations
  • How well stocked is the kitchen?
    All of our kitchens should have all you need to cook and serve meals for the max occupancy of the cabin. Pots, pans, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, plates, cups, silverware etc Bring any specialty items you may require
  • Where do we Park?
    Glamping sites are for loading and unloading only during your stay, Assigned parking by site # is provided by corresponding numbered stalls
  • Do you supply spices
    We supply salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar to get you started. Other spices and specialty kitchen items are to be supplied by the guest. you will also find plastic wrap, tin foil and some plastic storage containers
  • Do you have Wi-Fi?
    We have Starlink Wi-Fi throughout the resort and smart tv’s in each unit for streaming services. You will need to log in to your own account. Cable TV is not provided
  • Where can I purchase Groceries
    Keewatin Grocery is 5 minutes away towards Kenora right off the Hwy or there is a Safeway in Kenora
  • Are there Security Cameras?
    Yes, as we are a rural property we have several security cameras on site for the common areas only to ensure a safe environment for all guests. No devices are installed in guest units
  • Can we use the awnings of the Glamping unit?
    Yes, Use with extreme care. In moderate to heavy winds, when you are absent or during the night, they must be retracted for your safety. Awnings can be damaged very easily, therefore keep all fires a safe distance away. During rain, tilt one corner lower than the other to allow runoff. Use of the awning is the sole responsibility of the guest. If the awning is deployed, then it is recognized that the guest has agreed to accept all responsibility for the awning..
  • Can we pitch a tent on site?
    There are no provisions for tenting on site
  • What are the hours for the Rec Room
    The Rec Room is open from 10 am to 11pm daily
